Best buds...for now!!

I just needed to share some precious moments with all of you!! Ayden and Austyn have been best little buddies lately, which could change tomorrow, but for now I am quite enjoying their new found love for one another! Don't get me wrong, they still have their moments! I have been hoping that they would be best little buddies ever since Austyn was born...they are only 17 months apart! Ayden has stepped up to the plate as a big brother, he shows Austyn the ropes. He even talks him into doing stuff that he knows will get himself in trouble. The other day I walked into the kitchen and Ayden was hoisting Austyn on to the counter, directing him where I keep the marshmallows! I just sat quietly and watched! When I finally said "do you think that you should be doing that young man!" Ayden replied...."Austyn did it!" That is his usual reply now.....to EVERYTHING!! Austyn did it mom!! He is only 3. Isn't that a little early for blame shifting and lying to start!?? Anyway, I am just enjoying them being close, hope it lasts forever!

SUPER-MAN

I had to post these funny pictures of my two supermen!! Dave was throwing them in the air the other night, so I grabbed the camera. If you look close they both have very frightened looks on their face. But they always say "do it again daddy". They can't decide if its fun or terrifying! None the less, they are always begging for more! Ayden then wanted a cape like superman, so we quickly fashioned him one out of a hand towel and hair clippy!

I now know, if it doesn't work out for them to be doctors, or lawyers....they can always save the universe!!!!!!

Camping Trip

I had to post some pictures of our last camping trip. I think it just might be the last one of the year. It always makes me sad when summer is over, but I know that means fall is on the way. Fall is my favorite season. I love the cooler weather, the leaves changing, and all the holidays to follow!

Ayden and his bow. He loves it! And he is actually a pretty good shot considering he is only 3. It does concern me a bit, it shoots SO far. He is really good at only pointing at the target and not his little brother!!

Check out Austyns teeth in this picture! He had to have caps on all his front teeth because they had no enamel on them. He looked so funny until we got used to the whiter, bigger teeth. He will eventually grow into them....I hope!!!

This is my sister latest hobby that she is going to teach me. We are HuGe scrapbookers (when time and kids allow) The only thing I hate about scrapbooking is the huge mess that you have to drag out, and since my scrapbooking room isn't finished yet (Dave), I decided that digital would be an easy fix for those days that I am feeling creative, but without the mess!

House is finally done!!

We have officially moved ALL of our stuff in our new house! yay! Even though we have been actually living here since June, I just couldn't seem to get organized and find a place for everything, and for those who know me, I have to have everything in its place! And I can be what my husband calls, very impatient. Even though we are happily enjoying our new place, my mind is always on the NEXT project. Yards, sidewalks, deck, fence, my salon and basement! Why can't I just settle down and relax for a minute?? My poor husband never hears the end of it. We worked so hard on this for almost 2 years, I guess we just need a minute to relax!lol So here it is!
Love our wood doors! Notice the cute vinyl wall lettering! Thanks Mindy! Guest bath Family room Kitchen...and I know, we have no fridge, I cant make up my mind! Who knew there were so makes and models. Its harder than picking out a new car! Our bedroom Our bathroom My side of the closet, Daves is too messy to show!haha Laundry room

Ok....so I have had a few friends(Mind!haha) ask why my last post was in July!! Life has been so hectic and busy lately as all moms know. Not to mention how extremely hard it is to get high speed Internet correctly installed in a rural area!haha I have had to go to my mom and dads to use their Internet the last few months, and I just have had no time to blog! But no worries, we are officially connected, and it works(yay)!!

I always welcome fall. It seems like life slows down to a more manageable pace! Of course this time of year is obviously bow hunting season (all bow hunters wife's know how that goes!) Dave was SO excited because he drew a private land permit this year. He took a week off work so he could just stay up at the cabin and focus totally on the hunt. He went up on a Friday. Needless to say 1 week later he was getting SO frustrated, just couldn't get close enough to a buck. (traditional bow hunters understand) Well on his last day there(last Friday) He slept in, didn't get to sit in his blind that morning, frustrated to no end, he and my dad went looking for a trophy buck. They got just under the cabin when they saw 4 big bucks on the side of the road, Dave jumped out and flung one arrow and it went right in front of the deer, and to his surprise, the buck flipped around and just stood there, so he flung one more arrow and hit it dead on! Here is the proof! I was so excited for him!

We also held the annual Iron Springs out door bow shoot the first of August and Dave had taken first place in the leagues this year. Max Stewart, a local traditional legend, presented a gorgeous knife that was hand made by an amazing local knife artisan. I must say, Dave's a good shot, just ask my dad!haha Dave out shot him for the first time at the Colorado traditional shoot! Needless to say....my dads ego was a little bruised!
