Trick or Treat!!

The kids were actually excited to go trick or treating this year! The past couple of years they haven't been to interested, they were too young. And we lucked out that neither of them were sick this year! It always seems that one of them has been sick on Halloween!! Ayden loved his pirate costume and poor Austyn, you can see how he left the house, in a t-shirt and shorts! He wanted to be Elmo, which was Aydens costume last year. Well lets just say that my little Austyn in quite tall for his age. The Elmo costume was a 2t, should fit hu?? Nope...it didn't! He couldn't even walk let alone sit in his car seat!haha So we headed off to my cousin Camilles house to rummage through her kids past Halloween costumes! We found this darling, comfortable puppy costume and he was thrilled!! They were so funny, they would get their candy and have it eaten before we got to the next house! Can you say SuGaR RuSh??This is how poor Austyn left the house!!

Carving our punkins!!!!

We finally got around to carving the boys pumpkins at 10:30 last night! Nothing like last minute hu?? They have been so anxious to carve them ever since we picked them up at their grandpas house. My grandpa Lynn grows them pumpkins every year, and this year he grew the big huge ones. The season wasn't to good for pumpkins around here, we only got 3 big ones and a handful of little ones. We had my dad go pick them up from grandpas house with the tractor because the boys LoVe to ride in it! We could have easily just thrown them in the back of the truck, but Ayden thought it would be fun to haul them with the John Deere of course!! Thanks for growing us our punkins grandpa Lynn!! Halloween is tomorrow, and we are barely ready for it! Where did the month of October go??? I guess I better run to the store and get some Halloween candy!Ha!! And don't you love how Ayden is picking his nose in this next picture!!haha

I went back out this morning and grabbed a few shots in the day light!! I love Halloween!!!

Cute idea!

This one is for Meryntha!! Such a cute idea for Halloween!! Its just a radish and pimento olives!! Just scrape off most of the red on the radish with a knife, use a small melon baller to make a small hole in radish. Cut olive in half and fit in hole. Put eyeballs in a ice cube tray and fill with water and freeze. Then you can use with any clear drink such as water, sprite ect. Cute idea hu?

My mom and I headed out to Salt Lake on Monday for a little R and R and SHOPPING, but how relaxing can it really be with two little boys, right?!!haha We did manage to get a ton of shopping in, the boys were actually troopers! We went to Gardner Village, which is SO cute this time of year. Its all decked out with witches. We didn't think it would be that busy on a Monday afternoon, but it looked like the rest of Utah thought the same thing! The boys got a pony ride and a wagon ride with a witch that told stories and jokes, they thought that was fun!

After all the shopping and dragging the boys from store to store, we decided to go back to the hotel and go swimming, they enjoyed every minute of it!! They both love the water! The trip was a blast, but I am glad that we are home to get in our regular routine again. The boys aren't happy campers if they don't get a nap in! Thanks mom, for the wonderful few days away from home!!!!!!

Punkin festival

We went to the local pumpkin festival last night in Jensen. It was short and sweet to say the least! Here are just a few pics of the night! I need a new camera BAD......hint,hint Dave!!haha

And this is it!!! The Canon XSi! It was between this one and the Nikon D200, which is a tiny bit out of the price range ringing in at a cool $1400 for the camera alone!!OUCH! So this is a small hint hunny, for a great Christmas present for your lovely wife!lol

Remembering Grandma

Today was a bitter sweet day. It was Grandma Wanda's birthday. She passed away this past December. We decided to go to her grave site and have a little birthday party. The weather wasn't that great, but when we all pulled up and got out of the car, the clouds opened up and the warm sun shinned down on all of us! It was amazing!(thanks grandma!) We wrote special messages on paper, tied them to balloons and sent them to heaven for her to read! The kids enjoyed this so much! Its hard for them to understand where we go after this life here on earth! We all miss her more than she will ever know. She was such a true inspiration to each and every one of our family members as well as everyone who knew her. She was honestly the sweetest most loving and caring person I have ever know. She AlWaYs put everyone before herself. Her acts of kindness were so numerous, that you could never count them! She had a large family including lots of grandchildren and great- grandchildren, and lots of in-laws. She never ever forgot any one of our birthdays. You could always count on a call from her on your special day. I took this for granted! Even though she must have been in some pain the last years of her life, you NeVeR heard any negativity or complaining. She was the glue that held us together! She was the best example of compassion and kindness. She was very active in genealogy and our ancestors from Sweden, and when you had a question about someone from the past, she always knew the answer and had a fun story to go along with it! I strive to be like her one day, even though I know I will never come close! I am grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that the next life can be eternal. We will all be together again one day! We miss you grandma!!

Finally!!

We have been living in our house now for 4 whole months, and during this time we have had no fridge in our kitchen. Who knew how hard it was to pick out a fridge. More makes and models than cars!! The one I really wanted was slightly out of our price range(ok... a little more than slightly!) I thought we could just save up for a few months to get it.....wrong!! I was SO sick of tromping out to the garage fridge to get milk for the boys every half hour, not to mention juggling eggs, milk, butter and anything else we might need for one meal,
(to lazy to make 2 trips to the garage)!! So we finally made it out to Park City to get a fridge this last weekend....without further adue(sp?)........

TaaaaDaaaa!!! I am so glad I now have a fridge right in my own kitchen! How did they do without one back in the day???
