Well...we are back from paradise and it was WONDERFUL!! I didnt want to come home! I came home more relaxed an rejuvinated than ever. I am already looking to book our next trip to this resort again, it was amazing!! I am also trying to talk Dave into buying a condo there and living there 6 months out of the year!! Wouldnt that be great!! The people there were so nice and made you feel right at home! The food was amazing and being all inclusive, we had lobster 3 nights in a row!! Dave surprised me for my birthday and had them set up dinner on the beach. The palm trees were all lit up and they even had a heart out of lights in the sand! It was SO sweet and romantic. He ended the night with giving me a bracelet that I had wanted everytime we walked into the jewlery store at our hotel!! What a man, I love him so much!! We also went snorkeling next to an island, Isla Mujeres, and saw 2 baracuta(sp?)and lots and lots of beautiful fish. The next day we decided to go back over to Isla Mujeres for some shopping. It was HOT there, so we didnt last long. We spent most of our days on the beach or by the pools with a drink in our hand.haha By the end of the 7 days I was missing the boys pretty bad. My mom and dad kept them so busy that they didnt miss us one bit...actually, the night we got home Ayden cried because he didnt want to come home. That made us feel bad!haha I am so grateful for my mom and dad for taking the week off work so Dave and I could go and enjoy ourselves! Thanks again mom and dad, we appreciate it more than you will ever know! I hope you dont mind...but it will be a yearly thing now!haha
Me and my sister got together for a photo shoot with her friend Emily. I really wanted some vintage style photos to put on canvas for my salon. Emily is a absolute doll! She models for the Bettie Page store. We had a blast. Hair by me, make-up by Emily, photos by my sis Lacy. Check out Lacy's photo site for more of this shoot(the link is on the side of my page)And a big thanks to Emily and Lacy for doing this for me!!
This past weekend my amazing friend Mindy and her darling boys came out to visit us. We had a blast! The boys all get along SO well. Ayden and Weston are only a month apart and they are like two peas in a pod. We went up to Flaming Gorge and had a pic-nic and the boys ran and ran and had a blast!! Mind and I had fun taking pictures. We started the alphabet for name frames. I just wish they lived closer, we miss them! I know that they would eventually love the small town life if they moved here (HiNt HiNt Mind;)haha
I cant tell you how excited I am that my salon is done!! NO more cutting hair in my kitchen!! I still have a lot to do with it, but at least I can cut hair in comfort and without having to scrub my kitchen floor everytime I did a haircut!! A big thanks for my hubby for getting it done! Love ya!
Since we have no grass for the boys to play on yet, my dad decided to get the boys a trampoline. The boys were SUPER excited about it. Dave and Brant picked the worst day to put it up, they got rained on! I am just glad that Brant decided to help Dave, I was dreading putting that thing together! They had it done in record time, only with a few set backs like not following the directions. They got it all put together and saw that the pad wouldn't go on, they had to take the net back down to put it on! I had a good laugh because I told them the whole time to make sure they followed the directions!HA! The boys LoVe it! They have spent every waking moment on it the last 2 days!
The Easter bunny found the boys again this year! Can you say SUGAR HIGH???? We had such great plans for Easter this year and the rain totally ruined it. My mom had went to so much trouble planning every detail for a family day at our farm, well when we got up we knew we would have to resort to plan B. Luckily my uncle has this beautiful indoor barn with heaters so we packed up everything and headed up Dry Fork to his house. The kids LOVED all the dirt to play in. I am still getting it out of clothes, shoes and my washer. And as our yearly Easter party goes...Dave and Jason(my cousin) get into a water fight EVERY year. Well this year because of the dirt...it was a muddy mess!! We all had a blast. The guys played horse shoes and we did a treasure hunt and an egg hunt for the kids. My grandpa(the kids great gramps) gave all the kids real gold coins at the end of the treasure hunt. It was pretty cool!
