Punkin festival

We went to the local pumpkin festival last night in Jensen. It was short and sweet to say the least! Here are just a few pics of the night! I need a new camera BAD......hint,hint Dave!!haha

And this is it!!! The Canon XSi! It was between this one and the Nikon D200, which is a tiny bit out of the price range ringing in at a cool $1400 for the camera alone!!OUCH! So this is a small hint hunny, for a great Christmas present for your lovely wife!lol

Remembering Grandma

Today was a bitter sweet day. It was Grandma Wanda's birthday. She passed away this past December. We decided to go to her grave site and have a little birthday party. The weather wasn't that great, but when we all pulled up and got out of the car, the clouds opened up and the warm sun shinned down on all of us! It was amazing!(thanks grandma!) We wrote special messages on paper, tied them to balloons and sent them to heaven for her to read! The kids enjoyed this so much! Its hard for them to understand where we go after this life here on earth! We all miss her more than she will ever know. She was such a true inspiration to each and every one of our family members as well as everyone who knew her. She was honestly the sweetest most loving and caring person I have ever know. She AlWaYs put everyone before herself. Her acts of kindness were so numerous, that you could never count them! She had a large family including lots of grandchildren and great- grandchildren, and lots of in-laws. She never ever forgot any one of our birthdays. You could always count on a call from her on your special day. I took this for granted! Even though she must have been in some pain the last years of her life, you NeVeR heard any negativity or complaining. She was the glue that held us together! She was the best example of compassion and kindness. She was very active in genealogy and our ancestors from Sweden, and when you had a question about someone from the past, she always knew the answer and had a fun story to go along with it! I strive to be like her one day, even though I know I will never come close! I am grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that the next life can be eternal. We will all be together again one day! We miss you grandma!!

Finally!!

We have been living in our house now for 4 whole months, and during this time we have had no fridge in our kitchen. Who knew how hard it was to pick out a fridge. More makes and models than cars!! The one I really wanted was slightly out of our price range(ok... a little more than slightly!) I thought we could just save up for a few months to get it.....wrong!! I was SO sick of tromping out to the garage fridge to get milk for the boys every half hour, not to mention juggling eggs, milk, butter and anything else we might need for one meal,
(to lazy to make 2 trips to the garage)!! So we finally made it out to Park City to get a fridge this last weekend....without further adue(sp?)........

TaaaaDaaaa!!! I am so glad I now have a fridge right in my own kitchen! How did they do without one back in the day???

When it gets quiet...go check!!

The other morning I was in doing laundry, when all the sudden I realized the boys were being extra quiet! That usually when I know that they are into something! I walked into the kitchen quietly and saw this..............So of course I grabbed my camera! They were both in their cowboy boots and into the Cheetos! Cheetos for breakfast?...the breakfast of champions!?!

I love the mess Cheetos make! FuN!

Then they saw the camera and had to throw a few poses in there!! Got to love boys!!!

Austyn has been my quiet one!! He has just recently began talking in sentences, but only when he has something important to say or if he really wants something. I was in my room this morning and he came in and said,plain as day, "My want some fruit naks..pa pa pa pa pleeeeeease!!" I was laughing SO hard!! He has never said pa pa pa pleeeease...EVER. That is something that his brother always says when he really wants something bad, so needless to say, he got such a reaction out of me that it is now his favorite thing to say!! It is so dang cute!!

Dino land

Living here in beautiful dinosaur land had been quite a change for me!! Even though I grew up here, the Wasatch front seemed like home to me! We have now been here for 2 1/2 years and I am FiNaLlY starting to settle in! I forgot how much there really was to do here. We have lakes, mountains and dinosaurs right in our back yard!! The small town living is finally starting to make sense to me again! Even though Vernal isn't such a "small town" these days. I am actually glad that my boys will have a similar childhood as I did. We spent every waking moment of summer at Flaming Gorge on the boat! And if we weren't there, we were on the mountain camping. They will even go to the same elementary school that I did!! Its pretty nostalgic!!

Dave recently had a few consecutive days off so we decided to take the boys to the dinosaur museum. They love it there, even though they have been there alot, they love it just as much as the first time! I guess its just a boy thing!!

What can I say.....Ayden loves getting pictures taken of him!!

As you can see...the boys were THRILLED to get more pictures taken!!

6 Random facts about me!

Kristen tagged me, so here are 6 random facts about me!

1.I'm really not blond!.......even though I act like it most of the time!haha

2. I am a germ freak!! I wash me and my kids hands so much they are so dry. I have germ-x all over the house, in the car, on my key chain! Not to mention travel size Lysol and anti-bacterial wipes! My kids have kart covers for the shopping carts. And I swear....when we don't use the cart covers, they get way sick every time!!

3. I have a bedding obsession! I change the color and style of my bedspreads often...way to often! I just love new bedding and sheets what can I say!!

4.I was a ballet dancer for 10 years and I recently started taking classes again....which are kicking my butt in case you were wondering!

5.I am an artist! I love to draw. I do mostly black and white sketches, but also love to paint! I have won 1st place with 4 of my sketches!

6.I secretly want to be in the Olympics! I have had dreams of it since I was little!lol Probably a gymnast! But since you have to be 12 and under 70 pounds....i most likely would do shot put or some sport like that!haha
